So it's Winter; let's think Summer! Surf's up while Ollie explores the beach. With hungry crabs, singing clams, pesky fish, and a bit of pirate booty— don't get wet!
Nearly every Saturday through March, different artists perform engaging puppet shows at 10am and noon. These performances will delight kids of all ages. Families can also attend hands-on Make-n-Take puppet workshops based on that day's puppet show theme.
- Performances: 10am & noon
- Workshop: 11am
- Admission: Performances - suggested donation of $4/ person or $2/ person if you live in Phillips, Central, Corcoran or Powderhorn neighborhoods. Workshops - $5/ child, $3/ adult (Children must be accompanied by an adult).

Planning has begun for the 2012 MayDay Parade & Festival and we need your input! Everyone is invited to one or both of our open brainstorming meetings. Bring your ideas, concerns, hopes and dreams about building a sustainable future. And tell your friends and neighbors!
MayDay Block Host Organizer
Are you a community organizer? Or active Block Leader in your neighborhood? Or do you just LOVE MayDay and this community? We are looking for a volunteer to help us recruit & train teams of people to host blocks during the MayDay Parade. Contact Brie Jonna at bjonna@hobt.org for more information.
Internship Opportunities

MayDay Parade Interns - work with the MayDay Art Staff to help envision, build and assist the community in creating one section of the MayDay Parade
Grant-Writing Intern - draft the narrative portions of grant applications with the guidance of our Development Director
Event-Planning Intern - help organize the special events we offer, from donor gatherings to opening night parties, under the guidance of our Development Director
Grant Researcher Intern - assist the Development Director in identifying foundations and corporations who might welcome a grant application from HOBT
MayDay Marketing & PR Intern - Assist with MayDay marketing, public relations, social media, & the assembly and editing of the MayDay Program
