Job and Volunteer Opportunities at HOBT

Volunteering is a great way to be part of the HOBT community and to meet like-spirited people. Volunteers make it possible for HOBT to offer community-based art events at our Theatre, while acquiring hands-on puppet- and mask-building skills.

Paid Positions

Sorry, there are no paid positions available at the present time.

Volunteering at HOBT

More than 350 individuals volunteered nearly 6,000 hours to HOBT during the last year.

They performed tasks such as ushering, assisting with the building of shows, MayDay crew, and working on administrative projects or serving on organizational committees.

Main Stage

Get involved in the behind the scenes work that goes into mounting new shows — set building, puppet-making, sewing, ushering, and stage managing.

Year-Round

If you have skills and an interest in community-based programming, long-range planning, budgeting, fund-raising, the legal field, or neighborhood issues, please consider joining one of the Committees of our Board of Directors.

Internships

Throughout the year, HOBT uses volunteer interns in a variety of capacities. If you have some experience and skills in painting, papier maché, set construction, technical theater, working with children, or are interested in a volunteer arts management internship, please tell us about your interest, background and availability.
All of our internships are unpaid (unfortunately).
